A group of us were all excited and ready to see Stormbreker today.  But when I looked in the paper, I noticed none of the theaters was showing Operation Stormbreaker.   Then I looked at nearby cities and then the entire state.  NONE were showing Stormbreaker.  Unbelievable!   I'm from Utah.

They should at least be showing it within the next few weeks, if not . . . . !!!!!  Ps. If it doesn't show here . . . does anyone think that they could recomend a good . . . ahem . . . i got lucky there was a theater about 15 or 20 minutes away from my house...
i just got back from watching it!! omg it was so awesome... though it ended too quickly. and there was like nobody watching it! besides me and my three friends there were about 10 to 15 other people in the theater (including a few annoying people) rolleyes although my friends and i weren't that quiet either... wink

I'm having that same problem too.  I live in Washington state, and there are no showings of it anywhere around.  I am really depressed.

there was only one theatre showing it around me and i had to cross state borders to see it last night!  I wonder why so many theatres are not showing it.

I'm lucky to report that north of Detroit MI, there was a movie theater playing the movie 3 times a day (5 min drive). We went to the 1:50 pm show  (group of 4) the theater was 1/3 full .... I hope it was because we went to an early show.

It is ridiculous. Absolutely. I mean, if they made it out to be such a phenomenon (my melodramatic side is poking through, as it does when I get worked up), why is it a limited release. Maybe it’s a limited release until whenever. Anyways, moving it from the 6th to the 13th was the stupidest move ever. I mean, no one where I live (Central Oregon) cares about the Covenent (geez, no ones ever heard of it!) and they’ve been hyped for the Grudge 2 since they knew it was coming out…that’s just my angry opinion. There’s a lot more stuff I would say, but…you know. This is the internet and anyone can see it.

It's cheaper for them to have a limited release because it means they have to print fewer copies of the film. The copies that have been printed will slowly make their way around the country. This is the problem with independent movies - it hasn't got the budget to have a huge wide massively promoted release. On the plus side, it might make the film proportionately more profitable.

yeah but limited releases never do as well. i'm lucky that there's a theater near me w/ 30 screens so they get almost every movie in the US. On another note, didn't they push back the release date so they could get more screens?
