The dog actually is owned by Mickey Rourke.  From what Mr. Sax said it goes with him everywhere.
Also when Sayles is typing the password into the Stormbreaker he uses the dogs name.  If you have the UK dvd, listen to the audio commentary by Anthony and Geoffrey.  Great stuff !!

Stealth, the first two links don't work...
You can't hotlink to the site. You have to go to www.impawards.com and search from there...
But those posters aren't anything new...

I just realised that this isn't the first time that Weinstein have butchered a British film for the American audience. 'The Magic Roundabout' (a CGI animation film) came out in the UK in 2005, but when it was released in America it was almost completely recast, with a new script and a new title ('Doogal'). The film got terrible reviews and I don't think it made a lot of money either. Having said that, it wasn't that great in the first place ...

Overall, Stormbreaker got lucky - it just had a name and marketing change!

Moral of the story - if you're a British filmmaker, do not on any account get Weinstein to do your distribution in America ...

But it might have been the only company that wanted to buy it...
Which is a problem...

And besides, the US readers aren't familiar with You're Never Too Young To Die...
It wasn't in any of the books and it wasn't on the covers...

Mrs. Jones said it after giving Alex the gadgets.
