Oh em ge! I'm in the process of collecting these, and though I can find the first three for relatively good prices, the last one is like $130 at it's cheapest! ;_;

I could easily get the books. My library has a couple of programs where they give free books and they have a lot of AH books. I almost have the entire AR series for free. And I just need the first two books in the Gateskeeper series to be caught up there to.

Mr.Horowitz,
I am a 7th grader at Jennings County Middle school and I am reading your book "Snake Head" for a book report. I have always enjoyed your Alex Rider books. As a part of my assignment I have to send you a letter. Could you please take the time to read this and write me back? I would appreciate it (and my grade would too) if you could.
                                                                                            Thanks,
                                                                                              David

Hello David,

The best way to get in contact with AH is through his publishers, at this address: 87 Vauxhall Walk, London SE11 5HJ. I can't tell whether he would reply for sure, but when I sent a letter I got back some AR and PO5 postcards. However, we have in the past, sent a letter from the board, and we haven't got anything back from that. It is worth a try though, you never know. I hope that helped, and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Mr Horowitz hardly ever comes on here, so I doubt he'd have seen your request. Have you tried PMing him?

I just do not like the new series. There. I said it.

With the third book, AH seemed to be writing a new novel, rather han just rehashing the plot of old one, like he did with the first two. But still, I couldn't even finish it.

It's not just that the origianal was more grusome and had more of an air of mystery about it. It seemed that during his early years, AH was expressing the traumatic experiences of his own childhood with the wretched boys in his novels--something like what Charles Dickens did with Oliver Twist and David Copperfield. Dicken worked in a blacking factory, remember, as a child laborer. AH doesn't write like that anymore.

I thought a few years ago I might have just outgrown AH. But when I purchased an old copy o Misha, the Magicicain and the Mysterious Amulet on ebay, which this site (AH himself)? kind of disparaged, and I read it, everything I'd origianlly loved about AH was there.
