I only just found out that this older series existed! Someone told me the series was unfinished - is that true? Also, would i be able to get a copy of any of these now?

the last book, where the children would actually defeat the old ones, that wasn't written.  They're out of print which means you won't be able to find them in any of the regular book stores, but if you're lucky you might be able to get your hands on them second hand./  Though I've noticed that because of AH's ongrowing fame, the out of print books are starting to be somewhat expensive...

I got all four of them. They were brilliant and I am so frustrated about the re-write..
I have them in Dutch though..
Day of the Dragon was cool. When I finished that book, I really really really wanted to read the fifth book, to know how it would end.
I do hope it will be possible to just read the fifth book of the new series.. Sad

I found the silver citadel and the night of the scorpion for 1.99 GPB, which equates to around $5 dollars Australian.

Hmmm... I'd love to buy some of these no matter what the cost to add to my AH collection, but my mom would probably say I'm mad and not let me. huh

If you actually look further down, it says 1985 which seems more likely.

Personally, I think the new series is a big improvement on the old one. It's much deeper and more serious and the characters are better. Just wait until Nightrise comes out! But then I would say all this, wouldn't I...

cheesy i haven't read the original series and i'm not sure if i want to yet because it might spoil the newer series for me huh but i agree that the characters in the power of 5 are very serious.
