Back when Horowitz wrote the original Power of Five series, I thoguht of that too. I thought of the books as sort of cross between Lovecraft and Dickens. AH may have been influenced by the concepts set forth by Lovecraft--heck lots of authors have! I do not know if their supposed to be the SAME Old Ones, or if the "universe" they take place in is supposed to be the same as Lovecraft's .If so, the Necromonicon should exist there as well. But perhaps not as the true Lovecraft enites wre supposed to be less evil than utterly alien to human experiance, while the Old Ones of AH are Evil Incarnate (which is the name of their queen, by the way.)

right, but the great old ones aren't evil per-say but are amoral. but besides the point, the old one in Raven's Gate is decribed as a dragon and Cthulhu is described as a dragon/octopus. not to mention the legend w/ the elder things and the old civ. on earth before the egypgians in Raven's Gate are so similar that thier only missing the Shoggoths.

are you asking which thing you said was a spoiler or the definition of a spoiler?

anyways, giving the name of the queen is a spoiler, ebcause it says something about a book that most people haven't read yet.  and according to the new rule, if you post anything about something that most people haven't had a chance to read yet, then you have to make sure they all know it's a spoiler, so that if they don't wanna know, they know to stop reading

You have made lot´s of spelling mistakes! Capital at the start of a sentence! "ebecause" is not a word. Capital at the start of a sentence! Wanna - want to. Fullstop at the end of a sentence. "thoguht" is not a word thought is the correct spelling. "tha'ts" has a an apostrophe in the wrong place.  afro
